Remember that parable of Lot and his family who had to leave Sodom and go to the little town called Zoar. Lot and his family had to run away from Sodom and were instructed to run and never look or they will turn into a pillar of salt

It's unfortunate that the wife never listened that as she turned around to look at Sodom she indeed turned into a pillar of salt.

Sidenote :This is not a sermon 😅

This past Thursday reality forced me to actually sit down and reflect on the past and remember the prayer that I crossed over into 2020 with, now I mean with all the intention that I have just to achieve all the goals I've set for myself.

As I was reflecting that same parable crossed my mind and I understood it differently this time. See, I had to sit down and I realised that actually this parable is one of those that as our generation we need to live our lives according to.

Maybe I'm not making sense now but get this let's say you are Lot staying in Sodom, you're presented with an opportunity that affords you the chance to actually take a few steps closer to smashing some of your goals, to choose yourself for once, now as you do that, the same opportunity forces you to move out of place or let's rather say one point to another meaning that your old life will then be your past as you're stepping into the future but in order for you to grow your told to move forward and never look back or you'll turn into a pillar of salt.

Stay with me here, when you are moving out of Sodom (the Past)to head to Zoar(the Present), that alone requires the full attitude of Lot (Obidience) and not his wife. Having the attitude of Lot's wife is low key how one sets themselves up for failure, when you move forward you do not look back at what's lost - "It doesn't help to cry over Spilt milk" as we would normally say.

It's like what Ps TD Jakes once said "You cannot drive while your full attention is on the rear mirror, there's a reason why the windshield is bigger than the rear mirror".

Just think about it and let me know what you think below on the comment section ❤️
