Gratitude

Sidenote: This I meant to share in the morning but really I hit the ground running this morning.. I hope you had a great day.

So it's my last year in an institutional residence and I decided to change rooms - because apparently change is good and I'm embracing it. Moving is a total extreme spot I must say, the packing and unpacking is no joke!! But the whole process had some sense of intention and gave birth to a great thing.

I realised that I had so many shoes and clothes that some I don't even remember when last I wore them, so this was really an opportunity for me to do the "giving" because I've been planning to donate but the whole process of unpacking an entire wardrobe made me cringe, I legit had a hectic 2019 so I didn't have time to do certain things.

But anyway, back to the shoes and clothes. So I found out that I had 48 pairs of shoes (Hi, My name is Pogiso and I'm a shoeaholic😢) and out those in a year I've probably been wearing 20 of those repeatedly excluding the entire 18 which I only wore once of twice after buying them and some small sized shirts and those that I don't wear anymore.

I packed them up in the "Swart Sak" and because I've already identified who I wanted to share the shoes and clothes amongst so the process of giving was quite easy, the past week I've been seeing two of those people rocking the hell out of those shoes, and my favorite part was seeing pictures of them in those black heels, my heart was and still is filled with so much gratitude to see that I was able to put a smile on their faces and Appreciation they show me that's a plus.

Moral of the story: Make time to unpack your wardrobe, there are clothes and shoes that you don't wear anymore give them out there's definitely someone who needs them more than you do.
